Start with the actual problem.
The most useful first conversation is a specific one: a roadmap decision, a diligence deadline, a ranking component that has not moved, or an AI proposal that needs testing before it gets funded.
It helps to lead with the real question rather than a request for a general discussion. I will tell you plainly whether I am the right person for it, and if I am not, I will usually know who is.
What to expect
A direct answer on fit
If the problem is not one where I add real value, saying so quickly is more useful to you than a proposal.
A narrow first engagement
Most work starts with one defined question rather than a broad review. It is more useful, it is cheaper to test, and it establishes quickly whether the working relationship is right.
Separately from the advisory work, I take a small amount of executive education teaching for corporate programmes in financial derivatives, financial engineering, risk management and corporate finance. Enquiries on that are welcome here as well.
